If it's going to be big enough for it's end purpose as it is I'd leave it as it is. If it isn't big enough add the extra borders! If it's going to be a lap...It's so pretty! If it's going to be a lap quilt (i.e. not have to fit on a bed), I'd just go with the even borders and not worry about fattening it up.
