I have a list about a mile long I could write of all the projects I want to sew but I'm going to get real here. Christmas has just gone by and this is now the second Christmas that I have had my "Penny Candy" Christmas quilt in progress. Or rather, not in progress. It's been sitting on my sewing table taking up valuable real estate since before last Christmas. So my January Goal for "A Lovely Year of Finishes" is to finally sew my "Penny Candy" Christmas quilt top together, get it sandwiched, basted, quilted and bound. I hope by setting this goal for the month that I can actually make this happen for myself. This is a quilt for me after all.
Here is a very unexciting photo of my Penny Candy Christmas quilt in progress. The "before" shot if you will.
The pattern is in Kathy Brown's book "Strip-Smart Quilts" from Martingale.
So here's hoping I have an exciting finish to show you at the end of the month. Hopefully the prospect of that and the potential to win prizes in the link up will see me through to the end. :) You should head over to the linky party and link up a project too! See Melissa's earlier posts on her blog for details.
