Giveaway Day

*** GIVEAWAY IS NOW CLOSED ***

Hello. Welcome to "Daydreams of Quilts." Thank you for stopping in on Giveaway Day (which actually runs all week). This fun activity was started by Sew Mama Sew and it's a fun way for all of us to get to know each other. There are lots of givaways over there so go check it out. Look for this link button on my button bar at right for the original post.

By way of a small introduction; I am a wife and mother who loves to quilt, knit and paper craft and I love to blog about everything I create. I live in Edmonton, Alberta Canada, I have two kids and my husband is a soldier in the Canadian Military.

For my giveaway items today I have some lovely things from my stash. I have five fat quarters and three patterns for you.
The patterns are (from left): "Woodlands Shirt" by Sew Liberated. It's an adorable little shirt that you can sew in sizes 2T-4T or sizes 5-10. The middle one is "Cabin Paws" by MH Designs. It is a paper foundation pattern. The last is "Wheat Bag Puppies" by L.A. Designs. Make your own wheat bag to heat in the microwave and put on your shoulders after a long day of crafting. All of these fabrics are new and in the original packaging. I have had them for years and haven't sewn them up so I thought one of you might like to sew them.

Here is a closer look at the five fat quarters. The three on the right are "Fern Hill Vintage Originals Collection 2" for Camelot Cottons. The other two I do not have the full name on the selvage. They are all quilt shop cottons.

I am looking forward to a weekend this month when my family takes an annual trip to stay in a chalet in Jasper National Park. There is a quilt and knitting shop there that I love to visit but sadly I hear she is closing soon so this will be my last visit to her shop. This trip is a multigenerational trip that my family does and it really is quality time in an idyllic setting.

To enter my giveaway please leave me a comment on this post telling me your favorite springtime tradition. The giveaway is open until May 10. I will put all the numbers in a hat and my 8-year-old son will draw the winner. I will ship internationally so anyone can enter. The winner will be posted here by May 12th. Please include your email with your comment so I can contact you if you are the winner. Thank you for stopping by and please take a look at some of my other blog posts while you're here.

  4. Thank you for this lovely opportunity! I love the green fabrics you are offering as a giveaway. My Spring tradition is to take note of the first signs of Spring - the first lambs that leap, the first eggs to be laid, the first starlings to appear and the first lapwings to arrive. This year we are very behind compared to previous years.

  25. Greetings from Winnipeg. One of our springtime traditions is to try to guess what kinds of things we'll find underneath the snow when it finally melts. Will our bathing suits from last year be there? Will that CD case that went missing from the car be there? This year we found a pile of sidewalk chalk that had gotten wet and soft and made a cool picture all over our outside planter. :)
